The Parsi Marriage and Divorce Act, 1936
Section 32 of The Parsi Marriage and Divorce Act, 1936, contains 10 fault grounds on which either husband / wife my seek divorce.
- Marriage not consumatted within one year owing to the willful refusal of the defendant
- Defendant at the time of marriage was of unsound mind and continued
- Defendant already pregnant before marriage by other person than the plaintif
- Adultry, (dd) Cruelty
- Defendant voluntarily caused grievous hurt
- Defendant undergoing sentence of 7 years imprisonment or more
- Defendant Deserted for past 2 years
- Order passed by a Magistrate against the defendant for separate maintenance to the plaintiff, and parties have not had martial intersoure for one year or more since such decree / order
- Defendant ceased to be a Parsi
